This XXl- Format limited edition Nobuyoshi  Akari book  low numbered 0233 was gifted to Julius Shulman by the book’s publisher Benedikt Taschen.

Includes rare 32 page booklet brochure (insert) with more pictures and Nobuyoshi Araki being interviewed by Jerome Sans.
Extensive bibliography and biography section, All color illustrations are color-separated and reproduced in Aniva, the best reproduction system available.

Nobuyoshi Akari was born in Tokyo, Japan in 1940.  First picking up a camera at the at the age of twelve and later studying film and photography at Chiba University sent him into the world of commercial photography. His bold photographs which at times include his private life have received controversy and have been banned through the world. This book is just one of his over 400 books but according to Akari, is a collection of his finest work.

Book has Julius Shulman’s stamped signature and studio Stamp  & additionally arrives with a JuliusShulman.org Certificate of Authenticity showing that indeed it is part of the Julius Shulman Trust & Architectural Archives.
