In 1947 Frank Sinatra commissioned  E. Stewart William to build what would become William’s first residential commission. Completed within  a few short months at Frank Sinatra’s request, it was occupied him from 1948 to 1957. Sinatra then moved to his large estate newly built estate on what is now known as Frank Sinatra Drive adjoining  the Tamarisk Country Club grounds in Rancho Mirage. Built on the Eastern edge of Palm Springs in what is known as the Movie Colony section of Palm  Springs, the home was built among what is known as the Alexander Tract of homes.  This home is thought by many to be one of the most iconic images of the residential mid-century modernism. Guests at this home included Phil Silvers, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr., Bogie and Becall, Peter Lawford among just a few.

The home was in extreme disrepair and neglected and the home was sold as a tear down.  Marc Sanders, a local landscaper purchased the home for $137,000 and then started the painstaking process of restoring the home to its original splendor. Marc Sanders sold the home in 2003 for a reported $1.3 million.
Today this incredible the 3 bedroom and 3 bath home with incredible views is used a vacation rental. It has a large gated backyard, large pool and privacy.
