The Academy Theater was originaly designed to host "The Oscars" but the Oscar Ceremonies were never held there.
The Theater located at 3100 West Manchester, Inglewood California opened on November 1939.

Shulman's studio stamp, handwritten in black ink "S. Charles Lee, 1940", job number on verso.

Signed in pensil on verso by Shulman at his Hollywood Hills Studio.
