Four prints, shot in March, 1959 of the Baron Edmond de Rothchild Memorial located in the Ramat Hanadiv Gardens, Israel.

The Rothchild Memorial is a part of the 20 acre Ramat Hanadiv Memorial Gardens which is a part of the 1,100 acre nature preserve.

David Ben-Gurion eulogized the Baron, “I doubt if one can find, in the entire history of the Jewish people in the Diaspora, a period of almost two thousand years, any person who equals or who can compare with the remarkable figure of the builder of the Jewish settlement in the renewed homeland in our day, that of Baron Edmond de Rothschild.”

Julius Shulman arrived in Israel on March 1, 1959 for 10 days of recording Israel’s most important period in terms of architecture.
