Thorton Abell was bon in 1906. After working for several successful architectural firms, Abell taught architecture and design at the Chouinard Art Institute and the University of Southern California School of Architecture. Abell built Case Study House # 7 which was completed in 1949. Thorton Abell died in 1984.

Image size 9 1/2 in. x 13 1/2 in. (24.13 cm. x 34.29 cm.), Paper size 11 in. x 14 in, (27.94 cm. x 35.56 cm). Shulman’s studio stamp and job number in ink on verso. This print was used at exhibitions and as a working print for the final product and has some measurements written in red pencil on lower front edge.
Signature stamped on verso by Julius Shulman at his Hollywood Hills Studio.
Image is in Excellent Condition with the exception of some very slight wear marks on edges and print has been mounted on thin backboard.
