Edward Giddings was born in Seattle, Washington in 1929. Along with graduating from the University of Seattle, he also studied painting at the California School of Fine Arts in San Francisco, California.
Having designed many homes for a developer in Cabo San Lucas, Giddings later started his won architectural firm in Newport Beach, California.
As a painter, Giddings showed his work in galleries in San Diego, Santa Barbara and Laguna Beach.
Having suffered a heart attack, Giddings died in Cabo San Lucas while on vacation on August 5, 1993 at the age of 63.

Signed and dated on recto in white ink by Julius Shulman in his Hollywood Hills studio.
Unframed on backboard. 8 in. x 12 in. (20.32 cm. 30.48 cm.)
