Julius Shulman created this print showing an open heart surgery being conducted at the Hospital of the Good Samaritan in Los Angeles.

Shulman noted on the verso that “The patient Lived!”.

Silver Gelatin Print mounted on backboard: Unframed, 16 x 20 in, (40.64 x 50.90 cm).

Shulman’s studio stamp, job number and handwritten “And the patient lived”, 1960″s and the architects name “Sam Lunden, Arch.”. on verso.

Signature stamped by Julius Shulman on verso at his Hollywood Hills Studio.
Image is in Fair Condition but does have some minor noticeable wear marks on edges and corners and a small 1/2 inch near  top left corner since old tape marks on verso of backboard show that it is possible that his print was used at Julius Shulman exhibitions. .
