Built in 1939, the May Company Building was located on the Miracle Mile in the Wilshire district of Los Angeles. The building was owned by the May Company from its beginning till 1992. It is now owned by the “LACMA WEST” to be used as an exhibition space for the museum. The current plan is for the building to be remodeled and used by the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in 2020.
