The owner of McEldowney’s Flowers, J. Kenneth McEldowney was an innovative florist and real estate agent. His wife worked for Metro Goldwin Mayer. He created the classic movie “The River” after complaining that better movies were needed.
Born in Chicago, McEldowney moved to Los Angeles in his youth, After studying at UCLA in business administration, he opened a chain of florist shops. McEldowney passed in Burbank, California on January 5, 2004
